tonight: betrayal

hw1
a careful review of the heart
might have led
to a careful review of intention
which might have led
to a careful review of action
which might have led to a different story
without the gory
details displayed for all to see
in the midst of it all
a careful review of my heart
must lead
to a careful review of my intentions
which must lead
to a careful review of my actions
and I see the same story written in me
with all the gory
details oft hidden from all who see
in the midst of it all
betrayers we fall
mercifully into forgiveness
or horrifically hard into self-hatred
until death severs
from the forgiver
who calls betrayer
friend

  1. Amazingly beautiful and profound. One of your best yet. A great thing to have read just before shutting down and going to sleep for the night.

  2. C’est fantastique. Je l’aime beaucoup.

  3. yes. what sebastien said.

  4. Beautiful.

And is there any reason in particular an image of my daughter was selected to enforce the idea of betrayal? She did lock her grandmother in the nursery last night, so it seems only appropriate. Little J (Judas).
